Over the last two decades he's been behind 30 music-compilations and artist albums, which have sold cumulatively in excess of 10 million copies. Of which 10 of his mix compilations and five single releases have made the UK's national Top 40 (on major labels including Virgin, EMI and Warner Music), whilst his most recent club tracks have resulted in a succession of Beatport top 10 chart positions. As a DJ his club, arena & festival showings are legion. Everywhere from the UK's Ministry of Sound and GodsKitchen to Cielo and Avalon in the US (and most points in between) have played host to his night-to-dawn sets. He's also a mainstay at festivals like Global Gathering, Dance Valley, Serbia's Exit, Brazil's Exxxperience, Australia's Future Music, Belgium's Tomorrowland and EDC. Progresivna Suza was founded in 2018 as a spontaneous initiative by passionate fans of the progressive house genre from Serbia and Croatia. This organization aims to unite individuals from all over the world who share the same passion, live progressively as part of their daily life, recognize no borders, and want to express their feelings through music uniquely and intimately.From 2018 to 2020During the group's two and a half years of existence, as the number of new members grew, Progressive Suza organized over 20 parties in clubs in Belgrade and Novi Sad under the name Progressive Tales. Local support was provided by progressive house artists such as Bokee, Aćim, Jelly For The Babies, Popi Divine, and Miloš Miladinović, while well-known hosts like Lukai, Igor D., Aleksandar Marković, Hobin Rude, Despić, and Migazz also contributed.The indispensable podcast began its first season with a weekly show in collaboration with the DeGori Project in 2018. In the second season, the podcast adopted a new, independent name, Progressive Tales. Hailing from San Francisco, California, Brian is intimately familiar with how house music has swept over the United States for more than two decades. While the technophile makes his living integrating systems and solving technology problems, his home away from home resides distinctly set behind his MacBook and his Pioneer DJ DDJ-SR2 controller. Brian has instigated many a groove at various venues around the globe, from Vancouver to Palm Springs, Los Angeles to Atlanta, New York to Toronto. He makes regular appearances in San Francisco, of course -- doing what he can to maintain a busy life style set around friends, music, and constant exploration.'It's a bit of a challenge, but one I thoroughly enjoy' says the young DJ. 'San Francisco is uniquely positioned -- we are not only a destination for traveling artists and musicians: we are also artists and musicians ourselves. The real question is, how involved do you want to get?'By college, Brian was sneaking out of his dorm to play underground parties with his friends. It wasn't the anthem style club tunes that marked the charts at the time -- no, hallmarks of the evening were hard-to-find white labels from local record shops. Brian and Aaron Robinson held practice sessions for hours some weekends, before welcoming in throngs of friends and family to dance the night away.As Brian's skills took shape, it wasn't long before he found a friend in Orlando-originated DJ Mark Snyder. Now residing in the UK because of advances in career, Mark rounded out Brian's catalog with legendary tracks from Sasha and John Digweed. As Brian and Mark's friendship grew, they began to throw house parties together. House parties turned in to club parties -- and this continued until Brian made the move to San Francisco to explore even more music and friendship.In 2011, Brian worked with other local DJs to create the Rocket Collective - a fellowship of DJs raising monies for better sound experiences at the Burning Man art festival in Black Rock City, Nevada. He relates the tale fondly: 'we had Trevor Sigler and David Sternesky -- two amazing, young, talented guys who would constantly create new and different mixes for us to use live! And of course, we would have all original acts booked with help from Mat Dos Santos.' The troupe toured for nearly a year before retiring the project, and setting about their own creative paths.2015 has proven to be a peak year for the young performer, with performances at Toronto Pride alongside Dave Aude, San Diego Pride for Bearracuda, Vancouver Pride for Ruff, and Atlanta Bear Pride as well. Brian was also selected from a host of world-renowned DJs to perform in the Underground Lounge for the legendary Real Bad party, a true honor given the history and support around the event. As for global recognition, Brian continues his regular collaboration and with Vincent Keith's Mascular Magazine to keep his distinct, recognizable sound available to communities the world over. more

BIO:Ahmet was born in Kardjali, Bulgaria where he spent his childhood. His introduction into music came from his father's obsession with electronic equipment. At 10 years old Ahmet was so curious about how the electronic equipment worked that he began assembling and disassembling some parts of the electronic goods in his house. At the age of 12 Ahmet made his first steps in his music career by making his own remixes which showed his passion for music. DJ Brian Norwood was born during the first seedlings of dance music as we know it today were sprouting. In the 1970s, the Tea Dance at Fire Island's Blue Whale was settling in as ritual and David Mancuso's infamous 'The Loft' parties in NYC were just getting started. Being born in the music-rich environment of Nashville would be a harbinger of things to come. And being born in that era would greatly impact his career.In the 90's, Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love, would open its arms to Brian. This move to a more urban environment and being within the twinkle of NYC skyscrapers, is an important transition not only in geography, but of musical awakening. After attending a seminal Saint-At-Large Party with all its intendant revelry, he felt an overwhelming drive to cultivate music and learn to mix. Vinyl was still the preferred medium for DJ's, which gives Brian the unique perspective of being among the younger DJ's still spinning today who teethed on vinyl.In the 90s Brian began to play live shows. His ability to feel the energy of a room and to zero in on what crowds want to hear quickly gained him major name recognition that spread from Philadelphia to the entire nation. Over the last 25 years the notable gigs he has played are too many to count, but include events in every major American city and as far away as Maui, Hawaii and Amsterdam, Netherlands.In 2011 he began podcasting for the ability to reach even more listeners. His Mixed Emotions by Brian Norwood podcasts have been streamed hundreds of thousands of times and continue to be a major asset to his musical career.
